For
Supporters
Join us in empowering students from immigrant and first-generation college backgrounds to achieve their fullest potential.

There are several ways you can get involved and make a lasting impact
1.
Mentor a Student
If you have ever benefited from someone who guided you, or if you wished you had that kind of support, we invite you to consider becoming that person for a first-gen student today. Share your experience, provide advice, and help a first-generation student navigate the path to college and beyond.
2.
Expert Panelist
We’re always looking for first-gen professionals to inspire students by sharing their career journeys. Apply to be a panelist for our workshops, and we’ll contact you when there’s a panel that matches your expertise. Your story could be the spark that motivates a student to pursue their goals.
3.
Bring Our Work
to Your Schools and Networks
If you’re an educator or advocate, request materials about FGD to share with your students, schools, or professional networks. Help us expand our reach and provide students with access to guidance, resources, and opportunities.
4.
Host a Local Fundraiser
Support scholarships and programming by hosting a local fundraiser. Contact Outreach@FGDscholars.org to learn how you can organize an event in your community, with proceeds directly benefiting students in the FGD Scholars Program.
Mentor applications are currently closed. If you’d like to join our next cohort of mentors,
sign up for our mailing list to be notified when applications open, or check back in April 2026.
